Q: How do I rent a unit? 

A: Our rental process is done completely online. Click 'Rent Storage' and follow the 3 easy steps to rent your unit today. 


Q: How often can I access my storage unit? 

A: The facility is open 7 days a week from 7am-8pm. Customers can access their unit anytime between our hours of operation.


Q: Are there items that cannot be stored in my unit?

A:  Food, liquids, flammable items, explosives, and other hazardous items are prohibited from being stored in your rental unit. 


Q: When is my rent due?

A: Rent is due the 1st-5th of the month. A $5.00 late fee will be added to your balance if rent is paid after the 6th of the month. 


Q: How do I pay online?

A: Customers can pay their balance online at www.SelfStorageAlamogordo.com

  1. Log in to your account 

    1. Click the ‘Make a Payment/Login’ button in the upper right corner of the home page. Use the login information you set up your account with. 

  2. Click ‘Make a Payment’ in the upper right corner

  3. Enter payment information 

  4. A receipt will be emailed to the address we have on file


Q: How do I set up recurring billing?

A: Customers can set up recurring billing online at www.SelfStorageAlamogordo.com

  1. Log in to your account 

    1. Click the ‘Make a Payment/Login’ button in the upper right corner of the home page. Use the login information you set up your account with. 

  2. Click on the ‘Recurring Billing’ tab

  3. Once here you can add a payment account by clicking 'Add Payment Account'. You can also 'Pause' or 'Edit' any card already on file.


Q: Do you offer Tenant Protection or insurance? 

A: We currently offer Tenant Protection which provides an option for tenants to receive reimbursement for certain losses without requiring traditional insurance.

Q: Do I have to give notice when I’m ready to move out?

A: Yes, we require a minimum of 10 days notice when you are ready to vacate your unit. If notice is not given the renter is responsible for the following month's rent. 


Q: Do you prorate my rent if I move out in the middle of the month?

A: No, we do not prorate rent for individuals moving out mid-month. 


Q: What size unit do I need?

A: This is your guide to unit size:

  • 10’x12’ Unit (Medium)

Fits contents of two full bedrooms, including several small to medium-sized boxes, and items such as mattress sets, sofas, chests of drawers, bookcases, and desks.

  • 10’x20’ Unit (Large)

Fits the contents of an entire family room and two full bedrooms, including several small to medium-sized boxes.

  • 10’x24’ Unit (Extra Large)

Fits the contents of a fully furnished 3 bedroom house, including oversized items such as a couch, mattress sets, a dresser, a refrigerator, a washer/dryer, a dining room set, an entertainment center and several large boxes.


Q: Do you offer a discount if I prepay for a year in advance?

A: Yes, we offer 1 month free if you prepay for 1 year at time of rental.
